I love science boards, we use them on a daily basis throughout our homeschool day.

Science boards are not just for science projects anymore!

We have very little wall space available for hanging concepts that the children are learning. So we use science boards as a way to display concepts.

They are so fun and easy to create! You can even let the kiddos participate in the creation of the boards so they make connections with their learning.

They are useful to pull out when you need to review or teach a concept.

Science boards are portable, you can teach class anywhere you want…outside, at grandma’s house, in the kitchen (cook and teach at the same time – multi-tasking at its best). The best part about science boards is how easy they are to store and put away after the children are done for the day.

Here are some of the boards we have made…just to name a few: word wall, number board, graphing board, weather board, book talk board, and calendar board.

My kids really love our boards…a lot of them are so interactive and easy to navigate I usually end up just watching while they facilitate.

This is our fiction book talk board

Another board we love to use is our graphing board.

Our calendar board and weather board. Lots of space on the science boards…use the front and back to utilize as much space as possible. On some of the boards I use card stock paper to add content.

Science boards make great portable word walls that you can use to help your children excel when writing those amazing stories.

Clean up is so easy and they really don’t take up a lot of space.

Science boards have become very helpful to our homeschool days, not just in teaching the kids but in organizing my teaching.

I am sending this helpful tidbit out to the universe hoping that it helps anyone who can benefit from science boards. Hope you can make it work for you!
