So while mommy was gone enjoying drinks and grown up conversation, daddy stayed to hold down the fort…(insert) DUN DUN DUUUUN!!!
So Anna sweetly asked daddy if she could play with her play makeup basket. The play makeup mommy strategically left at the top of the girls’ closet so they would always have to ask for permission to play. Daddy of course didn’t see a problem with her playing with her make up, it was something that they had played with many times. Now, the make up rule is simple…there must be adult supervision and it is always played with in the kitchen. Anna knew this and decided to reason with daddy on why she should play with it in her room. “Daddy, I REALLY think I should play make up in my room so sissy does not get into it.” It sounded like a very reasonable idea so Daddy agreed to let her play with her makeup basket in her room.
By the time Mommy got home Daddy had finished putting the kids to sleep. They relaxed and told each other about the great evening they both enjoyed. Everything seemed perfect…or so they thought!
The next morning after breakfast Mommy told the kids to clean their rooms so they could get their day started. Mommy always helped Anna with her room, and as Mommy was picking things up off the floor she saw a huge chunk of hair under Anna’s bed. Mommy panicked about the amount of hair she had found. She was worried because Anna does not always eat well and she often loses hair.
So let’s get back to our hair salon saga…
“Anna’s Salon”
Anna told Mommy and Daddy the story of how she thought because she was seven she could handle cutting her own hair. She told them that after that one snip she panicked and tried to hide her hair under her bed. Mommy and Daddy both thanked her for telling the truth! They started to talk to her about how keeping secrets is dishonest and bad. She stopped Mommy and Daddy as they were trying to have a heart to heart with her “There is more hair!” she yelled! Mommy asked where the rest of the hair was, and Anna told them that it was in the “Put Away” toy tub. Mommy asked her, “Please go get it.” The minute she walked out of her room Mommy and Daddy couldn’t help but laugh about their very blessed moments! This had to be added to the list of so many funny things Anna had done!
Luckily for Anna, Mommy was going to the salon that day to get a facial. She called to add an appointment for Anna to get her hair cut and styled! Anna and Mommy had an amazing time at the salon! Anna’s hair cut looked so good on her, and she was very happy!
